This approximately $160 million project involved the complete installation of a new brown paper manufacturing facility.
Our scope of services encompassed instrumentation engineering on behalf of the customer, including:
- Project engineering and verification of detailed designs prepared by an external engineering company
- Preparation of various detailed designs and resolution of design challenges
- Daily supervision of the I&C construction site
We also actively participated in the start-up of the Paper Machine Control System alongside the Plant Control Team, implementing required software changes and additions.
The plant control system is built on a redundant PCS7 + WinCC architecture, utilizing a Profibus DP ring for distributed I/O, with the vast majority of transmitters operating on Profibus PA. This setup ensures robust, reliable, and fully integrated control of the entire brown paper production process.
